HELLO! WE'RE KOSO THEATRE COLLECTIVE.
In October of 2025, a group of actors convened in a little interdisciplinary arts studio in Tucson to have a chat.
We of that group discovered a shared hunger for theatre that leans into hard questions, sits with complexity, and refuses to soften its edges. We want to make stories with teeth.
​We believe that our responsibility as actors is to empathetically construct fully realized people in all their messiness and nuance. As a result, we are an ensemble united by deep curiosity and a commitment to ongoing practice.
We train together weekly, and we educate actors and the acting-curious alike, thereby ensuring that our work stays sharp.​
​As an ensemble, we share a conviction that theatre is at its best when it's brave, specific, and willing to hold a mirror up – even when the reflection is uncomfortable.
If our performances are exuberant, truthful, probing, and reflective of our community then they’re working. ​​
